About Us

Exclusively Focused on North Carolina Business and Employment Law

As business lawyers and small business advocates, Vennum Law is focused on making your company successful. We consider our clients a part of our family. As a result, we use all of our corporate law experience and knowledge to defend their rights. After all, you created a business because you saw possibilities, and we can help pave the way.

The Vennum Law team provides solid legal experience, down-to-earth business smarts, and scintillating witticisms. Our clients depend on us to navigate the legal issues they're facing today, and to help avoid future legal issues. We can identify trends and issues in the law and the industry, making sure our clients make the most of both.  We are able to do this because we focus exclusively on business and employment law.

Liz Vennum,

Managing Attorney + Small Business Owner

As a small business owner herself, Liz takes pride in helping build and grow local startups and small businesses. Nothing makes her happier than setting up an LLC, drafting an operating agreement, and then watching a company grow into a real live business and pillar of the community. Our clients are changing the way Charlotte does business-- bringing healthy lifestyle brands, exciting educational experiences, expert-level IT consulting, and killer fashion design to the Queen City. We couldn't be more proud.

Because our business clients know Liz has got their back, they know they can reach her when it matters most. Need to talk through a difficult employee termination conversation before the meeting? Liz is happy to help. Want to double-check that

your company's operating agreement does not actually authorize your business partner to finance a new Bentley on the company dime? She'd lean towards "no," but it's still worth pulling up the file, reviewing it, and making sure he's playing by the rules. Sometimes running a business is amazing, and sometimes it's absolutely terrifying. Whatever it is for you right now, you don't have to go it alone.

Associate Attorney

Jordan joined Vennum Law after earning her J.D. from Wake Forest Law and her undergraduate degree at Wofford.  Little-known facts about Jordan include: her history as a soccer superstar, her ninja-level scarf-tying abilities, and her comprehensive understanding of tax law.

She enjoys getting to know the entrepreneurs in the area along with having long-lasting business relationships with these clients. she is not advocating for small businesses in the office, you may catch her supporting them one restaurant and brewery at a time.  In her spare time, Lizzy also enjoys taking her two dogs, Barney & Indi on long walks and exploring Charlotte and the surrounding areas with her fiance, Will.
